Short and Sweet
Unfortunately this blog entry is going to be short and hopefully sweet as well. After our last entry about more travel we have done….more travel. We had a week or more to settle back in to catching up on our office work, as well as feeling the after effects of too many hours on a plane. But last Friday we had to travel again for a couple of days, this time to Argentina, and Craig is off again today, Monday.
It is a wonderful blessing to be here towards the end of our two year missionary service, but it is very tiring at times.
We had a not so sweet experience as we farewelled several missionary couples one of whom was one of the other doctors in the office and his wife, Nelson and Amy Burton. They arrived a month or so after we did and served well over the 18 months of their mission. We enjoy working with so many different couples, some more closely than others. It is always bitter sweet to say goodbye to those with whom we have become close friends. It is one of the strange things in the mission environment that friendships can be formed so quickly, probably in part due to our shared experiences. It is even more difficult when we are saying goodbye to those who came after us.
